Parish councillors are volunteers and there are currently 5, with 2 vacant seats. Councillors serve until the next election in May 2027. Councillors are supported in their work by a Parish Clerk. The Chair of the Council for 2025/2026 is Cllr Rosemary Bridge.
Drayton Bassett Parish Council hold their regular meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of each month except April (where it is replaced by the Annual Parish Assembly), August and December. The meetings generally start at 7.30pm and are held in the Sports Pavilion in the Village Park, Rectory Close.
