Parish Council meeting update

We have been advised by Lichfield District Council that an Order appointing District Councillors Farrell and Yeates to Drayton Bassett Parish Council under Section 91 of the Local Government Act 1972 has been signed and sealed.

Their appointment is ‘until such time that there are sufficient Councillors to enable the Parish Council to act.’

We are awaiting confirmation that these Cllrs, along with Parish Cllr Stockil will be able to make a meeting on the 17th September. Once we have received that confirmation, an agenda for the meeting will be posted. The agenda will be a shortened version of a normal agenda as its function will be to approve only what is necessary to get the parish council back up and running again.
