Issue surrounding the village park
Published: 11 March 2025
The first was a man with two Labradors which he allowed to run off lead in the park, terrorising one person and causing another to remind him of the rules regarding dogs on SHORT LEADS and under control.
The other was an incident where cans and general rubbish had been strewn in the park and a rock had been used to break one of the goals used by the kids (see picture).
We kindly remind all visitors to the park that dogs must be kept on a short lead to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all users. Accidents happen with equipment but this is malicious damage to one of the goals. At our meeting on Tuesday 18th March Cllrs will be discussing the future of goals and their possible replacement.
Cllrs will be considering the temporary permission on dogs in the park in May/June. Cllrs are also talking with Lichfield Council about enforcement should the short lead request and picking up after your dogs not be voluntarily adhered to.
